This week we just started the improv unit. I must say that this is probably my most favorite style of theater to perform. I require no actual rules with the exception of always accepting what the other is proposing so as to move the action forward. I consider that standing up and experimenting with improvisation with no real need of memorizing a script, which is what I am worst at doing, and having the main purpose of laughing and enjoying the play. My favorite game within improve is the freeze game. Where two people lead a scene and when someone else claps to stop the action then and there that person takes over the action of the improve and produces a new and different type of action. I like this game because it requires a sudden burst of creativity and the new action that is proposed is usually quite funny. I look forward to learning more about improv and its different activities.
